Tomorrow, it finally begins!  For almost 2 years I've been waiting to embark on my IBM Corporate Service Corps (CSC) assignment, and April 24th marks the start of this much anticipated experience.  I will be working in Casablanca, Morocco for one month as part of a talented team of 15 IBMers assembled from 11 different countries around the world.  We have been preparing for our assignment to Morocco for the past 3 months.  For those not familiar w/ IBM Corporate Service Corps, follow the link to learn all about it.  This overview from the IBM CSC website sums it up at a high level:
The Corporate Service Corps was launched in 2008 to help provide IBMers with high quality leadership development while delivering high quality problem solving for communities and organizations in emerging markets. The program empowers IBM employees as global citizens by sending groups of 10 - 15 individuals from different countries with a range of skills to an emerging market for four week community-based assignments. During the assignment, participants perform community-driven economic development projects working at the intersection of business, technology, and society.
Clear as mud?  Fear not, I'll map the grand rhetoric above into layman terms as I blog about my experience.  So join me for the journey and learn about the CSC project, the people I meet, my travels, and my experiences.
